Frontend Developer - React & TypeScript

Andrii Maksymov

I build fast, tested, production-grade web interfaces.

Hey, I'm Andrew - a frontend developer who cares about the parts users never see: type safety, test coverage, and code that's still readable six months later.

I spent two years building and maintaining UI for a production-scale iGaming platform - real users, real money flows, real consequences when something breaks. That environment taught me to write declarative, composable, predictable code and to treat quality gates as a feature, not a chore.

I'm currently pursuing a Software Engineering degree in Wrocław.

AI-assisted development is part of my daily workflow - Claude Code and Codex - backed by three Anthropic certifications.

  • Unit tests with Jest, components documented in Storybook
  • Shared internal UI libraries across multiple repositories, published via Nexus
  • Code quality through SonarQube quality gates and GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Code reviews, sprint planning, task estimation and internal developer docs

  • Built PostHog product analytics from scratch across registration and deposit funnels - 10+ key user events, first-ever visibility into drop-off points
  • Migrated a production codebase from ~20% to ~70% TypeScript coverage, unblocking CI quality gates for the team
  • Raised unit test coverage to ~80% across critical frontend components (Jest + SonarQube)
  • Refactored mobile scroll architecture - recovering up to 10% of visible screen space on mobile
  • Implemented Google OAuth & multi-step registration with correct redirects across 100% of auth scenarios
  • Enhanced deposit-flow UX with real-time timers and alternative payment-method fallback on transaction failures

Cooking Assistant

live

A free cookbook for the home kitchen: keep recipes in one place, plan menus for the week, track your pantry and turn whatever is missing into a shopping list. In four languages.

Started as a duo project with Milana (opens in a new tab) - later I rebuilt it on my own: full redesign, deep refactor, complete test suite and end-to-end CI/CD.

  • 2,800+ tests in 500+ files: Jest on both sides, Playwright e2e and a real-Postgres suite - 95%+ coverage, 80% gate in CI
  • 15+ CI jobs on every PR: Prettier, ESLint, tsc, SonarJS, Stylelint, Jest, production build, e2e and database suites
  • Migrated from Vite to the Next.js App Router: server-rendered pages and rich link previews
  • Tag-driven deploys to a self-hosted ARM server on Oracle Cloud: arm64 images in GHCR, health checks, automatic rollback
  • JWT auth in httpOnly cookies, zod validation, nonce-based CSP, 10+ rate limiters
  • Next.js
  • React
  • TypeScript
  • Redux Toolkit
  • SCSS Modules
  • Express 5
  • PostgreSQL
  • Jest
  • Playwright
